CLARIFICATION TEXT ON THE PROTECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF EMPLOYEE CANDIDATES

(“PEHLİVANOĞLU” or the “Company”), located at Mahmutbey Mah. Taşocağı Cad. Ağaoğlu 212 My Off. No: 3/436 Bağcılar/Istanbul, places the utmost importance on the security of your personal data. With this awareness, we highly value the processing and safeguarding of personal data belonging to individuals applying for employment within the Company, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law”), secondary regulations enacted or to be enacted under the Law (regulations, communiqués, circulars), and binding decisions issued or to be issued by the Personal Data Protection Board. Fully aware of this responsibility, we process your personal data as a “Data Controller” as defined in the Law, within the framework of account opening processes as described below and within the limits prescribed by the legislation.

1. Information Regarding the Data Controller

Under the Law, Pehlivanoğlu Paper and Paper Products Packaging Industry and Trade Joint Stock Company, registered with the Istanbul Trade Registry Office under the registration number 242715-0 and MERSIS number 0724004103900011, located at Mahmutbey Mah. Taşocağı Cad. Ağaoğlu 212 My Off. No: 3/436 Bağcılar/Istanbul, is the Data Controller.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed by PEHLİVANOĞLU for the following purposes:

  • Managing job application processes of prospective employees,
  • Conducting communication activities,
  • Planning human resources processes,
  • Managing recruitment processes.

Your data is processed in compliance with the Law, within the bounds of legality, fairness, and connection to these purposes, and is processed in a limited and proportionate manner.

3. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data, within the scope of the purposes listed above, will only be processed by the Human Resources Department employees and managers of PEHLİVANOĞLU and will not be shared with any third parties outside the Company unless strictly necessary.

4. Methods and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

Your personal data is collected by the Human Resources Department via email, phone, website, or paper-based forms, through automatic and non-automatic methods, verbally, in writing, or electronically.

In this context, personal data such as your name-surname, nationality, place of birth, date of birth, gender, marital status, driver’s license, photo, education details, military service status (for male employees), phone number, email address, personality assessments to determine compatibility with our team and working principles, references, security-related camera recordings, records from security checks, job suitability, and reasons for rejection (in case of an unsuccessful job application) may be processed in accordance with Article 5, paragraph 2 (d), (e), and (f) of the Law, based on the grounds that the data has been made public by the individual concerned or is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Data Controller, provided it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual.

5. Rights of Data Subjects Under the Law

You may apply to PEHLİVANOĞLU at any time to:

  • Learn whether your personal data has been processed,
  • Request information if your personal data has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it has been used in accordance with its purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or internationally,
  • Request correction if your personal data has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
  • Request deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,
  • Request notification of correction, deletion, or destruction actions to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Object to any unfavorable outcomes resulting from the analysis of your processed personal data exclusively through automated systems,
  • Demand compensation for damages if your personal data has been processed unlawfully.

6. Application Procedure

To exercise your rights mentioned above, you can:

  • Submit a signed application form, available at http://www.pehlivanoglukagit.com.tr, via notary, registered mail, or in person to the address: Mahmutbey Mah. Taşocağı Cad. Ağaoğlu 212 My Off. No: 3/436 Bağcılar/Istanbul,
  • Send the signed application form electronically using your mobile signature, secure electronic signature, or registered email address already recorded in the Company’s data registry system to info@pehlivanoglukagit.com.tr.

PEHLİVANOĞLU will respond to such applications free of charge for the first 10 pages of a written response, and will charge a processing fee of 1 Turkish Lira per page for responses exceeding this limit. Fees for CD or flash drive delivery will be limited to the cost of the medium.

Applications must include:

  • Name and surname,
  • Signature,
  • Turkish ID number,
  • Residential or workplace address,
  • Email address, telephone, and fax number,
  • Details of the requested matter.

Incomplete applications will not be processed in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
